MALAYSIA OUTSTANDING HR ACHIEVEMENT AWARD (organisations with 300 employees and above in the public and private sector)

This Award is to recognize a sustained and continuous commitment by organizations and corporations to the development of its human talent in line with the nation’s need to develop a world class workforce in the last 12 months. Criteria are as follows:

  • Quality of Human Resources Development Strategy
  • Promotes Continuous Learning
  • Effective Application of System and Technology (in HR Development)
  • Tangible recognition of HR as a strategic business partner.

THE AWARD

  • Trophy and Award Certificates will be presented to the winner of the MALAYSIA OUTSTANDING HR ACHIEVEMENT AWARD.
  • The winning organization will receive with the Award a holiday package to any destination for its employees in total of RM3000.00
  • The winning organization will receive a free seat in the Diploma in Human Resource Management program and a free seat in the Certificate in Human Resource Management program, both with the MIHRM; for its outstanding or potential HR employees.
  • The winning organization will also receive a 1 year free organization membership with the MIHRM.
  • Publicity will be given to the winner of the Award by direct communication with the HRM fraternity and media coverage with the general business and HR community.
  • The Award will be represented at a highly publicized evening event, attended by members of the business and HRM community and the Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia who will officiate and present the award.
  • The winner will be allowed to use the award’s logo in all their communication and business activities for one (1) year.

PROMISING HR EXCELLENCE AWARD (SMEs or local organizations with less than 300 employees)

This Award is to recognize a sustained commitment by SMEs or local organizations to the development of its human talent in line with the nation’s need to develop an efficient and professional workforce in the last 12 months. Criteria are as follows:

  • Development of the Human Resource Strategy in the organization
  • Promotes Continuous Learning and Training
  • Effective Application of HR Systems and Technology
  • Recognition of HR as a strategic resource in the growth of the organization.

THE AWARD

  • A Trophy and Award Certificates will be presented to the winner of the PROMISING HR EXCELLENCE AWARD.
  • The winning organization will receive with the Award a holiday package to any destination for its employees in total of RM3000.00
  • The winner will receive a free seat in the Diploma in Human Resource Management program and a free seat of the Certificate in Human Resource program, both with the MIHRM.
  • The winner will also receive a 1 year free membership with the MIHRM.
  • Publicity is given to the winner of the Award by direct communication with the HRM fraternity and media coverage with the general business and HR community.

HR Leader Award - Individual Professional

This Award is to recognize individual professionals who have made an outstanding contribution to the Human Resource Management, in the context to the Malaysian Vision 2020. Criteria for the Award are as follows:

  • The nominees will be a HR Practitioner/Professional or an Organization Leader who is involved in providing direction and support of the whole spectrum of HR initiatives, implementation and development within their organization.
  • The nominees will be involved in the Human Resource Management or Executive position for a minimum of 5 years.
  • Endorsement from CEO/MD/Chairman/Executive Director of present organization in essential.

The nominee must demonstrate the following competence factors:

  • PERSONAL: Communication; Decision making and problem solving; Business acumen; Credibility and Professionalism; Leadership; Relationship Management and Adaptability
  • ORGANISATIONAL: Knowledge of environment; Knowledge of the industry/sector; Knowledge of the organization; Impact Assessment; The HR department as a strategic business partner
  • MANAGERIAL: Management of self; Management of people; Management of Resources; Management of Operations (including outsourcing); Management of Information; Change Management
  • FUNCTIONAL: Manpower Planning and Staffing; Performance Management and Development; Employee and lndustrial Relations; Compensation and Benefits; Occupational Safety & Health, Employees Welfare; Systems & Communication; Organization Development.

The nominee must be able to demonstrate an outstanding HR achievement or project, which was completed or impacted the organization’s business in the last 12 months. The achievement must have also impacted positively on the employees of the business, contributed to employees’ development, and/or supported the organization’s competitiveness.

THE AWARDS

  • A Trophy and Award Certificates will be presented to the winner of the HR Leader Award.
  • The winner will receive with the Award a holiday package to any destination worth RM3000.00.
  • The winner will receive a free seat in the Diploma in Human Resource Management program and a free seat in the Certificate in Human Resource Management program, both with the MIHRM.
  • The winner will also receive a 1 year free individual professional membership with the MIHRM.
  • Publicity will be given to the winner of the Award by direct communication with the HRM fraternity and media coverage with the general business and HR community.
  • The Award will be represented at a highly publicized evening event, attended by members of the business and HRM community and the Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia who will officiate and present the award.
